Trump Network MAB Authorizes Unethical Proselyting of Arbonne Consultants

Emails from the Trump Network's Marketer's Advisory Board (MAB) & The Executive Diamond Group (EDG):

We recently received correspondence from those within and working on behalf of the Trump Network attempting to take advantage of those in Arbonne as the Arbonne Restructuring through Chapter 11 Bankruptcy continues.

As is our policy at VoiceWind.net, we believe the best remedy for inappropriate policies is to expose them to public scrutiny. So here are the facts.

The following are the most important portions of the correspondence.

"I know you have had much success with Arbonne, and to be frank with you, the company (meaning the owners and Mr. Trump himself) are looking for people just like yourself…

To put it plainly, we are looking for entrepeneurs with previous MLM experience that have significant downlines."

This person then attaches correspondence from his upline training team in Trump Network and the Tump Network Advisory Group.

"> Who do you know? Who could make a major impact on this company? Who has a huge organization in another company? Who is a person of significant influence?

> Your MAB and the EDG"

DSA (Direct Selling Association) Ethical Guidelines on Proselyting:
For the full information go to: www.dsa.org/ethics/proselyting/

"It is considered to be an improper practice when Company A, or its representatives, specifically and consciously targets the sales force of Company B with the intent of persuading Company B’s salespersons or employees not only to sell or work for Company A, but also to cease selling or working for Company B, thereby interfering with Company B’s business or contractual relations…it does apply to situations involving more than several persons, where the pattern, approach and timing of Company A would clearly indicate an intention to adversely impact on Company B. If Company B sends correspondence to Company A regarding alleged proselyting activity, Company A is expected to appropriately respond within 30 days after receipt of the correspondence."

How the Trump Network Violates DSA Proselyting Guidelines:

  1. They are contacting someone with success in Arbonne
  2. Those in other companies with significant downlines or huge organizations in another company
  3. The timing adversely impacts Arbonne as it is Restructuring through Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Trump Network Not Part of the DSA (Direct Selling Association):

The best way to resolve this is to file a complaint with the DSA. However, when we checked the DSA Member website, Trump Network is not a member of the DSA. Go figure!

This is not surprising as the above Trump Network business strategies fall outside the DSA Code of Ethics and the DSA Guidelines against Proselyting.

Perhaps this is what Donald Trump means when he says the Trump Network will change the face of network marketing!

Who is EDG and MAB in the Trump Network?:

  • EDG stands for "The Executive Diamond Group" of the Trump Network
  • MAB stands for "The Marketer Advisory Board" of the Trump Network.
The following definition is taken from a Trump Network web site.

[Note: The MAB is a functional board that consistently brings ideas and strategies to the Company executive officers and management. In essence, they act on your behalf to ensure that the Company understands the needs, wants, and desires of all the Company Independent Marketers.]
(taken from "Pre-Launch of the Trump Network"

So what this means is this is not an isolated case. Although an individual might not know that proselyting a person in another netowrk marketing company with a significant downline is unethical, the Marketer's Advisory Board for Trump Network should. After all, the person that sent us the email appears to just be following the policies as recommended by the MAB and EDG.

The first email came from the MAB, the Marketer Advisory Board for Trump Network and from the EDG, the Executive Diamond Network and they said in their email:

"Who has a huge organization in another company…"

This was then picked up by the a member of the Executive Diamond Group of the Trump Network who said:

"To put it plainly, we are looking for entrepeneurs with previous MLM experience that have significant downlines."

To be blunt, rather than build their own network of consumers, their strategy is to steal them from other network marketing companies. A strategy that is contrary to the DSA's Code of Ethics and the DSA Proselyting Guidelines.

Trump Network Links Provided in the Correspondence:

The above is very straight forward. No network marketing company, or group of persons within the company should attempt to get person(s) from another network marketing company to jump to the other company.

So what does all this mean? When it comes to Network Marketing, Donald Trump, You're fired"!

Why It’s Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile

”It’s never crowded along the extra mile.” — Wayne Dyer

The "extra mile" is a reference to Christ's comments recorded in the Matt. 5:40-42 "If someone forces you go one mile, go with him two miles."

Roman law stated that a Roman soldier could place the flat portion of the tip of his spear on any person’s shoulder and then command them to carry his gear up to one mile.

Christ said, we should not only go the first mile, what is required under the law (and at that a pagan law), but we should go the second mile — do what the law states again, a new, repeated. This is how we get beyond what the law requires, by doing the law and then doing the law again for Christ. This is how we transform even a pagan law into the law of Christ.

It is in the second mile that we find liberty, freedom and even justice. It is in the second mile that we find service to Christ. It is by doing the second mile that the first mile is transformed.

It is here we find the fundamental truth of life — that we can only get to the second mile after we have completed the first mile. The first mile under the law; the second, while still in the law, yet free from the law, when in service to Christ.

It is sad that many, in an attempt to find freedom from the law, never obey the law and thus never go the first mile. By never going the first mile, they cut themselves off from the opportunity to go the second mile and all the blessings the first and second mile contain.

Why Seattle Securty Guards Watch as Girl is Beaten

On Wednesday February 10, 2010 three Seattle City Security Guards at the Seattle Bus Tunnel Terminal watch as a 15 year old girl was viciously beaten.

Everyone asks,"Why did they not get involved and stop the fight?" The answer according to Seattle and King County Metro Transit Officials was, "They were following orders not to get involved."

But then these same Seattle and King County Metro Transit Officials say that "we are very disappointed in what we see on the video." It was absolutely unacceptable." No kidding!

But is this not a contradiction. Are not the Metro and County officials trying to have it both ways? On the one hand they are appalled at what they see on the video, three grown men watching a young girl that each out weigh by almost 100 pounds or more, viciously beat another girl even kicking her in the head while she is defenseless on the ground. But on the other hand, they were just following orders.

Tell me, who in their right min gives orders to a security guard (who by definition is there to make the area secure), that would make it OK to watch someone else be beaten like that?

In other words, if what happened was unacceptable, then the policy and orders not to get involved were also unacceptable.

To make it even worse, the King County Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said the guards were right to follow their training.

"If you're a bank teller and you do something other than give them the money, you're going to get fired," Urquhart said. "We don't expect civilians to take police action. In this case, it was a violent fight, and they were outnumbered by this pack of people 3-to-1."

But this is a false analogy. A bank teller is behind the counter facing someone who wants what she has so she is really defenseless. While the three guards out number the assailant three to one, out weigh her by over 300 pounds, they are trained (or should be trained) to subdue persons who get out of control. So the analogy is not only weak, it just plain stupid.

So where does this type of policy some from. Very simple. Insurance companies. Yes, it is insurance companies that are the real criminals in this situation.

Let me give you a first hand account of why this is true.

Our middle son, Nathan's favorite sport is soccer. When he was in high school he was playing in an 18 & Under indoor soccer league at local indoor soccer facility in Overland Park, Kansas called "Just for Kicks" This company also had another indoor soccer facility called "In Door Sports" in Lenexa, Kansas.

My wife an I arrived to watch our son's game and as a coach I notice the other team is in disarray. When the game starts, there are no players on the bench and no coach. The coach arrives ten minutes after the game starts. We later discover that their goalie is the assistant coach. He is playing because they do not have enough players. We also discover that is is almost 21.

As the last two minutes of the game approaches, my son's team is ahead 1 to 0. So the opposing team pushes their defenders up in an attempt to get a goal to tie the game. But our son steals the ball, puts a move on an opposing player who falls down. The only person between him and another goal that will cinch the game is the goalie. As our son approaches goal from the left side, he turns to move almost perpendicular to the goal. The goalie starts to slide with him staying just out in front of him to the right to protect a shot on goal from the right foot. As our son gets half way across the top of the goalie box he stops the ball as if he is going to wind up and take a shot on goal with everything he has. But he steps past the ball and taps it with the heal of his right foot sending it backwards towards the left side of the goal. In an attempt to stop and get to the ball that is slowly rolling into the goal, the goalie falls down and helplessly watches as it goes into the goal.

For some reason this offended the goalie. So he immediately gets up and runs at our son and starts chest bumping him. Our coach does not see it because he is busy attending to one of our players who is injured. The other coach sees it but does nothing. The referee, he sees it but turns and walks away as the altercation continues.

It is at that moment that my coaching instincts took over. Before I knew it I was over the top of the eight foot glass wall and on the field standing between my son and the goalie. I never touched either of them. As soon as the goalie sees me, and hears me shout stop, he backs up. The incident is over. By this time our coach was headed out and I let him take over.

As I walked off the field I passed by the referee and told him, "That is your job to stop that type of action." He responded, "I don't stop fights." As a coach I was shocked and infuriated to hear him say that.

I immediately walked to the front desk and asked for a manager. He explained to me that the referee was following orders and company policy. The policy was, "We don't break up fights, we call the police." He gave me the company CEO's business card.

The next day I made an appointment to meet the CEO of the company that ran these indoor soccer facilities. The CEO told be the same thing, "Our policy is our staff does not get involved and break up fights. We observe and call the police and fill out a police report."

Now that there is stupid. You run a business that involves a sport where physical contact is inevitable and you know that there will be altercations. But you set up a policy where your staff will not get involved. They just observe and they call the police. How much damage will be done while the police on in route?. They don't seem to care or they would not have that policy.

When I told him that made no sense and it actually violated the guidelines for officials (in all sports the officials, umpires, referees, etc. are always charged with making sure the rules are followed so that there is an even playing field and that all participants are kept safe) he finally justified it by with the following. They could only get insurance if they had a policy of non-involvement. In other words, the insurance company forced this policy in order to protect themselves, the insurance company, from any litigation. Even though this policy is certain to allow a fight to continue where someone will be seriously injured.

It is obvious, even to the casual layman, that it is more about money, than it is about the safety of the players.

If someone does some research I am sure they will find the same kind of insurance connection in the Seattle situation.

It sad when those in charge of our safety agree to policies that place those they are sworn to protect in greater danger.

That said, this does not relieve the individual guards of responsibility. Both the officials that created and complied with the policy, and the guards who agreed to follow it should all be fired.

Where is Donald Trump when you need him.

The Post Was Disparaging

"The content of your post was disparaging."

This is interesting feedback since the post included only facts about the subject. So what the respondent was really saying is the facts about the situation were disparaging.

To dig this one out of the weeds we will need to go to the facts — the definition.

Definition:

Dis·par·age:
Etymology: Middle English, to degrade by marriage below one's class, disparage, from Anglo-French desparager to marry below one's class, from des- dis- + parage equality, lineage, from per peer

Date: 14th century

In light of the definition, what they were really saying is the facts were like a marriage to someone from a lower class. Or more precisely, the facts of the case were below them. Interesting!

It is a fact, that the facts can only be below a person or company when that person or company tends to over promise and under deliver and through this they create a false image. When this happens, the facts of the under deliver run head long into the false image created by the over promise.

In these cases the facts remove the false image and slams them back to reality. But since they are in an imaginary image of their creation that is above the facts, they cannot be at fault, it must be the facts. So the facts are now disparaging because the facts bring them back to reality, and reality is below them.

When a company complains that "the post about us was disparaging" but the post only included verifiable facts this says more about the company than the facts. In fact, rather than the company being disparaged by the facts, perhaps the facts were disparaged by being associated with the company.

On the other hand, when one under promises and over delivers the facts are never "disparaging"! Such a simple solution to disparagement by the facts!

VoiceWind Policy on Arbonne Restructuring Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Posts

VoiceWind.net Guiding Principle:

Our guiding principle at VoiceWind.net is to post only information that is true and factual and thus "informs the mind and the heart". Posts insulated from this principle are just noise and are not permitted.

This policy has been ahered to on all posts on the subject of Arbonne Restructuring through Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

The following is taken from Steven Iwersen's book "Chasing Porcupines".

The Principle of the Broom:

"Every person has the right to receive direction and meaningful information that helps inform their decisions."
— Steven Iwersen, NSA from his book "Chasing Porcupines"

The Broom of Champions – Guidance:

1) Information: People need information. They need it in order to make decisions. They need it to inform their minds and their hearts with objective data that will shape their perspective. Information provides a starting point for reasonable dialogue; the lack of information starts the downward spiral of assumptions, rumor, misunderstanding and suspicion.
— Steven Iwersen, NSA from his book "Chasing Porcupines"

John Maxwell, who has spoken at Arbonne NTC says:

"People will be down on, what they are not up on."

Freedom in Christ Does Not Equal Freedom from the Tithe

In a recent online conversation on whether one should tithe and whether it should be on the net or the gross pay Jennifer commented.

"I understanding all comments above and both arguments have good sides. However, if self employed , how do you tithe especially I know is a no no – but if not yet on regular personal income as owner. You depend on "if money" or "when ever" money comes in scenario to pay for personal bills. Honestly I battle with this because I live a hand to mouth lifestyle. Most times when money comes in I am completely broke and buried under a mountain of bills (personal and business). I feel more obliged to pay my bills as a matter of urgency. Then i end up on a guilty trip if left with no "Tithe'."

In response I mentioned that "even this author (me), to one extent or another, stands outside the full share of what God has for us in Christ."

I also struggle with the tithe as well. My wife and I are both self employed and have seen a decline in income recently. However, my point is although we can argue to remove the requirement of the tithe and find some pshycological comfort, this is not the Spiritual reality, as a result we will find no lasting peace in this approach.

Rather, what we need to do is accept the requirement of the tithe and our inability to live up to it. Then we can ask God to guide us to a point in our spiritual life, personal life and business life so that we can make the changes to move to a point where we can tithe and thus share in this blessing.

Jennifer, the fact that you feel the pull means you are sensitive to the leading of the Spirit. And the Spirit would not have this impact if there was not also a way to achieve the goal.

Our prayers are with you. Prepare for His activity to allow you to reach resolution and peace.

In Christ.
